HOURS WORKED AND PAY PERIODS

LABOR FINDERS offices open at varied hours according to office location. However, you are free to arrive and sign in for possible work opportunities at any time, and you are free to leave LABOR FINDERS office at any time. It is understood you choose to voluntarily "show up" at LABOR FINDERS while you await a work opportunity. During the waiting time you are waiting to be engaged rather than engaged to wait. While waiting for work opportunities and while waiting to leave to a customer's worksite, you are free to leave LABOR FINDERS office or wait at LABOR FINDERS office and do whatever you choose to do, such as sleep, eat, drink non-alcoholic beverages, read or watch television. Hours worked and pay for LABOR FINDERS are determined from the time you start working at a customer's establishment and ends when the work is completed at the customer's establishment. At the end of the workday, you are free to go home and collect your pay later or to return to the LABOR FINDERS office to be paid for the work performed, or return on the regular payday designated by the branch office.

You understand that waiting time for assignments at LABOR FINDERS and travel from LABOR FINDERS to the customer's establishment and return is not compensable work time. In other words, your working time is computed in the same manner as if you had gone directly from your home to the customer's establishment and returned home at the end of the day. This is also true if you are assigned to work at the same customer's establishment for more than one day. You are free to voluntarily report for available work at any time after the office opens. Further, you understand LABOR FINDERS does not guarantee a job assignment or work. You are required to report to LABOR FINDERS within 24 hours after the end of a work assignment, and in the event you are not promptly assigned to another job, you must report back to LABOR FINDERS on a regular basis. If you do not report to LABOR FINDERS within two weeks after the end of an assignment, we will consider you to have abandoned your job and voluntarily quit. You are paid on an hourly basis and are not otherwise exempt under state or federal law. As a non-exempt employee, you are eligible for overtime pay under federal and applicable state law.
